State of Emergency declared in Pakistan

A state of emergency has been declared in Pakistan by President Parvez Musharraf. Since the Lal Masjid siege, there was NEWS in the media that an Emergency could be announced …..and finally it has come into being with a (possible) ‘thumbs up’ given by the White House.

I was infact wanting to write an article about the state of affairs in Pakistan. A suicide bomb goes off every other day in the country killing tens to hundrends of innocent civilians. Clearly, home-land secur

ity is in shambles. Is Pakistan on its way to becoming another Iraq? If America is so concerned about establishing Democracy around the world, why doesn’t it do something about the state of affairs in Pakistan, it’s so called ‘buddy for war against terrorism’? The country is led by a Military Dictator who rules the country as he wishes….sends back ex-primeministers into (re-)exile ignoring Supreme Court orders and now his army has ousted the current Chief Justice Mr Iftikhar M Chaudhry and there is nothing the people of Pakistan can do about it.It seems to be a country ruled by a dictator where people have no rights what-so-ever!
