Whey I say Law is in the hands of the Rich and Powerful

Why sometimes I am ashamed to called be an Indian. Please read the article here. And remember, this case is in the NEWS…there are hundreds that aren’t.

The woman was first robbed of her dignity by a couple of men and then again and again by our legal system….by the people who were supposed to protect her. The progress our country makes is worthless unless we learn to protect and respect our women.

  1. I think it was police who were embarrassed and put to shame, so to that extent the woman was BRAVE and had won a moral battle there.
Otherwise, it won’t be long before the dowry and such issues disappear from our society as female sex are short in number. Women despite their physical wekeness will find their voice to protect themselves.

  2. Chintam garu….Female sex is already short in number. Female infanticide is rampant in our country. Even though demands of dowry is illegal in our country…it still thrives. It will only change when women get the strength to say NO to such shameful claims. It will only change when women realise that it is much more important to get married in the right way than getting married.
